Genshin Impact fishing respawn time difficulties and types explained

You can now catch all different types of fish in Genshin Impact but miHoYo’s complicated respawn time means you will need to be patient.

Update 2.1 is the best version of the free-to-play epic so far as it has come with new Inazuma islands as we get ready to say goodbye to this chapter of the game. We will also be celebrating the title’s one year anniversary very soon, and this will basically coincide with the arrival of the elegant princess blue eyes, Kokomi.

While we can’t wait to unleash a hellish onslaught of water-themed attacks with Kokomi, right now you can spend your time plucking sea critters from the ocean.

What is the respawn time for fish in Genshin Impact?

There is no official respawn time for fish in Genshin Impact, but you can catch creatures at both day and night.

This means that you can catch them from each day between 06:00 to 18:00 server time and 18:00 to 06:00. However, once you’ve caught all the sea critters available in one spot for both these times, it’s complicated in regard to when they will reappear.

Some fans on the Hoyolab forums say that it’s merely 24-hours, whereas lots of others seem to say that it’s 72-hours. There are also varying reports about whether it’s in-game days or in real life.

The earliest seems to be 24-hours in real life, but just know that this may not happen with all of the types available.
